Carousel carousel

So the past few weeks I have been very busy with our Brighton Project, which I decided to base around the Carousel on the pier, and have been looking at different aspects of the carousel such as the lighting, fonts, music and horses. After lots of deliberation I went with looking further into the font!
The idea is that by the end of the project we will be able to fill a white "space" that has been created in our college, by re-designing a chair, piece of lighting and some form of wall art. I am yet to come up with any wall art but I am going to make "lightbulb fairylights" which I am ordering in a see-through yellow colour, like the ones you find on carousels, then  turning them into a chain of lights! Cute I thought! more photos to come.

As for my chair I came up with this...

I then went on to buy a chair from the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice charity warehouse that specialises in furniture, it was only a fiver! BARGAIN !!

So I painted my chair in "red stallion" (good old dulux) after a lot of sanding and primer. And printed the carousel design on some lovely ochre fabric and covered my chair.
Here is the chair before...

And after.... :)

I have to say, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out! I'd love to make some  more chairs!

Enjoy.
