Adding yet another layer of paint onto my chair, and ALSO my TABLE! Well it's hardly a table..it's a coffee table! But I got it for a fiver from the same place as my chair as the leg fell off whilst I was stood at the till, what a coinkidink :) Thought it would make my space more full and also just back up my red colour scheme and brighten it up even more!
And now...enjoy a photo of me being silly.

Carousel carousel
So the past few weeks I have been very busy with our Brighton Project, which I decided to base around the Carousel on the pier, and have been looking at different aspects of the carousel such as the lighting, fonts, music and horses. After lots of deliberation I went with looking further into the font!
The idea is that by the end of the project we will be able to fill a white "space" that has been created in our college, by re-designing a chair, piece of lighting and some form of wall art. I am yet to come up with any wall art but I am going to make "lightbulb fairylights" which I am ordering in a see-through yellow colour, like the ones you find on carousels, then turning them into a chain of lights! Cute I thought! more photos to come.
As for my chair I came up with this...

I then went on to buy a chair from the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice charity warehouse that specialises in furniture, it was only a fiver! BARGAIN !!
So I painted my chair in "red stallion" (good old dulux) after a lot of sanding and primer. And printed the carousel design on some lovely ochre fabric and covered my chair.
Here is the chair before...
And after.... :)
I have to say, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out! I'd love to make some more chairs!
Enjoy.

Beautiful Windy Brighton!
Had a day trip to Brighton last Monday, for the beginning of our new project, based around.....surprise surprise...BRIGHTON! :) I am thrilled, what an eclectic place to base our project on.
We basically have to pick a Brighton based theme or concept, and design a chair, piece of wall art and some lighting, to fill a white space after the end of 4 weeks tough research! So I've chosen to look at carousels and the different horses on them, also the colourful golden patterns covering them. I'll upload some more photos once I have begun making/designing them but for now, enjoy some snaps of my day in the gay capital...

KONY 2012
I'm not going to ramble on about the importance of this video and this campaign, as that will all become clear if you watch it. Which I suggest you do, it is truly inspirational and I for one am 100% behind it, and will be donating/promoting it.
Please just talk half an hour of your time to watch this.
